December '33

The Jersey Boys, a.k.a. as The Four Seasons, produced a classic pop tune about a special night 30 years later than this title, and in a side note, the lead singer of that tune was a former student of mine from Passaic High School.

But I'm betting that many other cities across NJ--and the fruited plain, for that matter-- celebrated the event for which the 1233 Distillery on the Grand Strand in Little River, SC is named.

My good friends at Life in Brunswick County have just published my account of a very special visit to that spot, and you can read it here.

One thing's for sure.

Visit 1233, and you, too, will "catch the spirit."

Cheers!
