New Digs, Same Old PubScout

At the suggestion of a friend, The PubScout has decided to launch a new webpage, and if you're reading this, you've found it. So please bookmark it. I have spent all day trying to make the page work for you--and for me. The process is a bit different, but I will master it--eventually.

I have been using Blogger for, lo, these past seven years, and it has served its purpose well. You can access it by clicking on THE OLD SITE link in the menu.

But this new page has a cleaner, more modern, more professional look. And it's free. (My friend actually suggested I pay a yearly fee for a registered domain, but why waste good beer money? It's the same logic I use when someone offers me a rich dessert--it takes up too many valuable beer calories. And, as the missus says, I'm "all about the free."

While the cosmetics may have been freshened up, the content you have come to expect stays the same

--great pubs to visit, great beers to try and great information about upcoming beer dinners and events. I've even added special sections I think you'll find fun and helpful. The Gallery, for instance, features pictures of current and former Beer Buddies; yours may be among them.

The only issues I need to workout with my In-House Webmaster Kacy Epps are whether I will be able to easily promote this page to other social media sites like FaceBook, Instagram and Twitter, and whether I can import some of my more recent blog posts to the new site. It may take a while to get the hang of things, but I'll manage, probably after a few beers.

Kurt Hoffmann--RIP

Rest assured, one thing that will never change will be my commitment to Good Pubs, Good Beer and Good People.

And for that reason, I'm dedicating today's opening page to a really good person and friend who left us too soon--Kurt Hoffmann.

Ein prosit, my friend, Herr Hoffmann!

I hope you all come back to visit regularly and be sure to share this new page with your beer-and-pub loving friends! For that matter, share EVERY new blogpost with your friends. We can't ever have too many people drinking good beer at good pubs.

Cheers!

The PubScout
