Beer and Food in "Chucktown" Part 4

I've always wanted to visit Charleston, SC, mainly because I had heard and read about its compelling history and its architectural beauty. So with it being a scant two and a half hour drive from my humble abode, we set out to explore some of the "Holy City" over the course of two days.
In addition to the history and architecture, many of our experienced friends advocated strongly for the "Low Country" cuisine, so our two day trip allowed for four meal experiences. As a Shrimp and Grits guy, I was ready to make comparisons, and, as in most of the southeast, the exploding beer scene provides many opportunities to complement whatever you're eating.
What follows will be four quick reviews--well, five, really, when you count our impromptu visit to Revelry Brewing, an increasingly popular brewing complex making some amazing beers. The nice thing is that since this introduction will be part of each review, you only have to read it once.

Our fourth dining experience took place on another rooftop, across from Henry's. There are actually two Crab House locations. One is over on James Island, but we visited the Downtown venue. We made online reservations for 6:30 on the rooftop, and we were escorted up precisely on time.

Our server---- and her Server Helper In Training (no acronyms, please) were each efficient, attentive, extremely pleasant and friendly.
I've come to the conclusion that any Charleston restaurant worth its salt makes darned good Shrimp and Grits, and the Charleston Crab House was no exception. Mine had shrimp, sausage, Carolina grits, mushrooms, brown gravy and scallions. Very solid dish.

And Westbrook IPA did the liquid honors nicely--again. The missus thoroughly enjoyed her salad with blackened shrimp, black beans, corn and tortilla strips.
We gave it an eight out of ten, but had our rooftop table ( in too-close proximity to the service window ) actually given us a view of what was below and around us, it might have been a ten.

Still, all things considered, the food was great, and my view was just fine.
