SeptemberFests in NJ
Celebrating two events today! Artisan's Oktoberfest in September--just like they do in Die Faderland, and the annual Central Jersey BeerFest sponsored by JJ Bitting.
It's a time for good fellowship, good food, good beer and good causes!
Artisan's continued their fifteen-year tradition of excellence, though the food was served Buffet-Style this year. The Dirndl Beauties, Lauren, Taylor and Danielle, not only provided excellent service, they even joined in the Masskrugstemmen contest--and Danielle won!
The guests, as usual, were fully engaged and enjoyed the night immensely, aided by Dave Hoffmann's beers, Steve Farley's food and the music of The Polkadelphians. Would have guessed that an accordion and a saxophone could belt out Funkytown and coerce the crowd into full-throated renditions of "Sweet Caroline?" Great night as usual!
A week before that, Mike Cerami continued his amazing run of beautiful weather luck--an eleven- year record, now--with his popular Central Jersey BeerFest. Held in the intimate, friendly confines of Woodbridge's Parker Press Park, the funds raised by this event always go to a charitable cause. And this year they went to a teenager who was suffering from renal problems, an issue close to The PubScout's heart.
Photos from both events are on The PubScout's Gallery Page, and are free to download.
So "SeptemberFest" is in the books, but I'll be heading to Mike Proske's Oktoberfest in Somerville before it's fully done.
On to October and its usual delights!
Cheers!
